Don't stop believing...
To coincide with “Everlasting Nothing Less”, his exhibition at the Anna Kustera Gallery, New York, Stuart Semple presents “Don’t Stop Believing”.
Extending Stuart’s critique of the mechanized image within art, each limited edition work is “hand” drawn in biro by a precision programmed robot.
The machine strives to faithfully reproduce every inflection of Stuart’s mark-making and drawing style. Stuart then signs the result himself, in his first human/machine collaboration.
Each of the 30 works is robot drawn on Saunders Waterford (cold pressed) paper, hand signed in pencil by Stuart Semple, and presented in a custom clam-shell style 'Semple Box'.
